Brandscope is a B2B wholesale eCommerce SaaS platform offering market-leading services for globally recognised Action Sports, Lifestyle Fashion & Equipment, Outdoor Leisure, and Sports brands. With offices on the Gold Coast, Melbourne, and the United Kingdom, the system supports over 30,000 retailers and 400 brands internationally.Â
Our head office is based in Burleigh Heads, QLD, with our tech team being remote near Melbourne and Geelong. We can offer a hybrid setup with remote WFH for the right candidate.
About The Role
- A functional and technical expert on Brandscope who contributes to Brandscope’s development
- Has a key role in assisting clients for success on the platform and actively engages with them to understand requirements and processesÂ
- Autonomy to define and deliver projects based on customer requirements
- While not expected to crunch code, there are opportunities to develop your own solutions and fixes
Responsibilities
- Designing, testing, and implementing new features and enhancements
- Managing integrations between Brandscope and external systems
- Prototyping and trialling new tools and libraries
- Diagnosing and resolving problems
About You
- Motivated with technical curiosity is a must
- Ability to differentiate between APIs (SOAP, REST protocols) and FTPs
- Excel proficiency for data manipulation and analysis
- Ability to research and solve problems independently and work as part of a close, supportive team
- Experience or a willingness to learn about wholesale commerce at scale, web-based SaaS platforms, managing customer and user relationships, working with onshore, remote, and offshore colleagues
- Knowledge of web technologies, HTTP, FTP, and tools like Postman, as we often integrate with 3rd party systems and APIs
- Familiarity with data formats: JSON, XML, CSV, flat file
- Awareness of Ruby on Rails, React, Postgres, Amazon AWS
- Working knowledge of SQL database querying, HTML layout, and Javascript debugging
Skills and Attributes
- Self-organising, time, and project management skills
- Strong communication skills for conveying technical information and client interaction
- Attention to detail in varied customer environments
- Proficiency in ticketing systems, Google Docs, Emails, Slack
- Ability to write and disseminate a specification document
